This page's grid: a selection with no visible brand
The grid above is a monthly selection from a catalogue of 10,000+ products, checked photo by photo so that no brand, club or character is visible. It mixes every category, so it may show few hoodies or none. Each photo opens an external listing. This independent guide sells nothing and does not point to brand-name hoodies.
The euro figure under each photo converts the Chinese price at the ECB rate of 30 October 2026 (€1 = ¥7.4326). It excludes domestic shipping, BBDBuy's fixed fees, the international line and tax. The sections below add them for a hoodie.
A hoodie's photo price is the smaller half of what reaches your door.
Soft goods: how a hoodie is billed
BBDBuy says its international price follows weight, volume and destination, recalculated once the parcel is packed. A hoodie differs from shoes in one useful way: it is soft and folds. It has weight, but little rigid volume. BBDBuy's optional services include a vacuum bag, stretch film and bubble wrap, and their prices are not published. Whether compression changes what a given line charges is not stated either, so the only reliable test is to compare the line price in your account with and without the option.
Two rules from BBDBuy matter at the edges. Parcels of 10 kg or more, or holding many identical items, may be treated as commercial, which is relevant to a stack of the same hoodie in several colours. And an item with a side of 70 cm or more must be packed separately, which a hoodie will not reach. For the shoe side of the same arithmetic, where the box adds bulk, see the shoe finds.
Costing a hoodie to Bucharest, Lisbon or Berlin
Everything in this table is an illustration. BBDBuy's line prices are not public, because its estimator needs a login (checked 1 November 2026), so the example uses €12 per kilo as a placeholder. Weights are examples too: 0.7 kg for one hoodie and 1.4 kg for two. Other inputs: a hoodie at ¥129 with ¥10 of domestic shipping, a second at ¥109 from the same seller, a ¥20 declaration.
Hoodie + China shipping: 129 + 10 = ¥139 → €18.70
Line: 0.7 kg × €12 = €8.40 · fixed fees: (8 + 20) ÷ 7.4326 = €3.77
EU duty €3 + handling fee €2 (one category) = €5.00
VAT base: €35.87 · Romanian VAT 21 %: €7.53 → €43.40
| Basket | Example weight | Romania | Portugal | Germany |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One hoodie (¥129), 1 category | 0.7 kg | €43.40 | €44.12 | €42.69 |
| Two hoodies (¥129 + ¥109), 1 category | 1.4 kg | €71.32 | €72.50 | €70.14 |
| Same two items, 2 categories | 1.4 kg | €77.37 | €78.65 | €76.09 |
Put your own numbers into the shipping calculator. For why the three countries differ only by VAT, read the Romania, Portugal and Germany page.
One hoodie, two hoodies, or a hoodie with something else
Here the structure of the bill matters more than the garment. The second hoodie adds €27.92 in Romania, against €43.40 for the first, because the ¥8 handling fee, the declaration, the €3 duty and the €2 handling fee are paid once per parcel or per category and not once per item. Add a different kind of item and the picture changes: the EU charges €3 duty per item category on parcels worth €150 or less and, since 1 November 2026, €2 handling fee per category as well. Items with the same tariff sub-heading are one category.
Whether a hoodie and a sweater share a heading is for customs to say. The third row of the table shows the cost of being wrong: a second category adds about €6.05 in Romania with VAT at 21 %. Platforms, sellers and intermediaries owe the charges and may pass them on at checkout. Report contents truthfully; this guide does not cover ways to avoid charges.
Group like with like for the fixed fees, but do not count on two garments sharing one category.
Reading a hoodie in the three free QC photos
BBDBuy's help says three QC photos are free, and the homepage speaks of three to five. A hoodie's faults are mostly sewn or printed, so photos reveal a lot. Ask for them to show, or ask support whether another angle is possible if they do not:
- The hood seam and drawstring holes, which tend to show loose stitching first.
- Cuffs and hem, where ribbing should sit flat.
- Print or embroidery position and edges, against the listing photo.
- The zip, if it has one, run along its full length.
- Colour against the listing, remembering that indoor lighting can shift tones.
The ordering guide shows when the photos appear in the status chain, and the review collects what reviewers say about this stage.
Fit: lay one you own flat
No size table appears here. Listings use their own labels, and a converted table would be invented. A dependable habit needs only a tape measure: lay a hoodie you like on a flat surface, measure its width across the chest and its length from shoulder to hem, then compare with the measurements on the listing. Some listings give the garment's own dimensions, which is what you want. If the listing shows only labels, ask the seller through the agent's chat. Cut matters as much as size, so check whether the listing describes a loose, oversized or fitted shape.
Layers, seasons and the second parcel
A hoodie often travels with lighter items, and the fixed fees reward combining them: the ¥8 handling fee and the declaration are charged per parcel, so a hoodie ordered alone twice pays them twice. BBDBuy's own help example for consolidation, a Singapore route with a ¥115 first 500 g, shows the effect on its own numbers: three parcels sent separately cost ¥568 and combined ¥321. That route is not yours, and the figures are not a Romanian or German price. The lesson is only that waiting for a second order can be cheaper than shipping twice, inside the 90 days of free storage.
The trade-off is time: parcels sit in the warehouse, and the five-day return window runs from "Warehoused" for each item, not from the day you ship. Check fit early, even if shipping is later.
When it arrives wrong, and the clocks that run
A return or exchange must start within five days (120 hours) after the "Warehoused" status, and the seller must agree. You pay the seller's original shipping, the return shipping and a ¥5 service fee. Removed tags, second-hand goods, custom items and opened items are excluded, so keep the tag on until the fit is settled. Storage is free for 90 days from "Warehoused", then a 28-day grace period applies for a paid extension, up to 180 days in all.
After delivery, insurance claims for loss must be filed within 7 days of delivery or 45 days of dispatch. French customs states that it does not ask private buyers for money by text or e-mail. If you receive such a message, ignore it and check the carrier's tracking page. For the wider picture, start from the home page.

Your questions on this
Does vacuum-packing a hoodie lower the shipping bill?
BBDBuy lists a vacuum bag among its optional services, next to bubble wrap, stretch film, reinforcement and insurance, but publishes no price for it. Whether a smaller parcel lowers the charge depends on the line, which bills by weight and volume. Check the line price in your account with and without the option, then compare against the cost of the bag itself.
Are a hoodie and a sweater two duty categories?
Not necessarily. Items with the same customs tariff sub-heading count as one category, and customs decides the classification, not the seller. A hoodie and a knitted sweater may fall under different headings, which would double the €3 duty and €2 handling fee. In the example here, a second category adds about €6.05 with Romanian VAT. Test both cases in the calculator.
How much does a hoodie weigh for shipping?
BBDBuy publishes no weight for hoodies, and the weight depends on the fabric and size. This page uses 0.7 kg for one hoodie as an illustration only. Some sellers state a parcel weight on the listing, and the warehouse weighs the real parcel before dispatch, so the final figure replaces any guess. Use the example as a placeholder, not a measurement.
What should I check in QC photos of a hoodie?
Look at the stitching around the hood, cuffs and hem, the zip or drawstring if there is one, print or embroidery placement, colour against the listing and any loose threads. Three photos are free, with three to five mentioned on the homepage. Ask support whether an extra close-up is possible before you approve shipment, as returns after that are limited to five days.
Can I return a hoodie if I removed the tag?
No. BBDBuy's help excludes items with removed tags, second-hand goods, custom items and opened items from returns and exchanges. Otherwise a return is possible within five days (120 hours) after "Warehoused", only if the seller agrees, and you pay the seller's original shipping, the return shipping and a ¥5 fee. Keep the tag on until you are sure about fit.
