Romania, Portugal, Germany: one parcel, three VAT bills

BBDBuy charges the same agent fees whichever country you live in. The difference appears at your door, where national VAT meets the EU's new per-category charges. This is the position on 1 November 2026 for the three countries where English-speaking readers most often search for BBDBuy.

Reading from the United States? Duty-free treatment for low-value parcels ended in 2025, so look for lines that say duties are paid up front. BBDBuy lists a Boulder, Colorado address among its company details, though that does not change how customs treats your parcel. What the photo grid is, and what it is not

The grid above shows items from bestbuyspreadsheet.com, which lists 10,000+ products, picked from a selection checked photo by photo so that no brand, club or character is visible, and the selection changes every month. The euro price under each photo is only a conversion of the Chinese price at the European Central Bank rate of 30 October 2026. It leaves out domestic shipping, BBDBuy's fees and every tax. Each photo opens an external listing; nothing is sold on this notebook, and whether to buy through BBDBuy or another agent is your decision.

To browse by type, start with the shoe finds or the hoodie finds, each with its own weight and customs guidance.

Treat the grid price as the price of the item alone. Plan on roughly double it until you have run the full calculation.

Who is behind BBDBuy

BBDBuy is a shopping agent: it buys from Chinese marketplaces on your behalf, receives the parcels in a warehouse, photographs them and ships them on. Its "About" page names the operator as Shenzhen Baobaoda Software Technology Services Co., Ltd. and also lists BAOBAODA TECHNICAL SERVICES CO LIMITED, with addresses in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two domains, bbdbuy.com and bbdbuyeu.com, serve the same site. This guide, bbdbuye.com, is independent; the about page explains who writes it.

Fixed fees in yuan, before the parcel is weighed

BBDBuy's "Service Fees" article is short, yet it fixes the amounts that appear on every order. The table converts them at the ECB rate of 30 October 2026 (€1 = ¥7.4326). BBDBuy applies its own rate when you pay, and recent reviewers mention conversion as a source of surprise, so treat the euro column as an approximation.

The help page promises three free photos, while the homepage says three to five. The shipping calculator adds these fixed fees to a line price you supply.

Worked example: three items to Bucharest

Take a pair of trainers at ¥189, a hoodie at ¥129 and a cap at ¥99, from two sellers who each charge ¥10 to reach the warehouse (an assumption; every seller sets its own). The parcel weighs 1.6 kg. Because BBDBuy does not publish line prices, the example uses a made-up rate of €12 per kilo. Replace it with what your account shows. Declaration is set at ¥20, the middle of the range. The parcel contains three item categories, so the EU charges apply three times.

The goods are barely half the bill. Should the three items share one tariff category, duty and fee fall to €3 and €2, the VAT base to €86.77, and the total to about €104.99. Depending on the line, some of these taxes may be collected up front, and a carrier can add its own clearance charge. BBDBuy states that on routes without a duty-paid service, clearance fees fall to the recipient.

The number of item categories moves the bill as much as the weight does, so check how your basket is classified.

Paying per order, and the PayPal notice

Goods are paid for when you place the order. Shipping is then collected as a deposit before dispatch and recalculated after packing, with any difference refunded or charged. This guide's rule is simple: pay per order and leave no money sitting on an agent account.

BBDBuy's help centre lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, PayU, BLIK, Skrill, Trustly, Bancomat Pay, Bancontact, EPS, Pix and bank transfer. Romanian and Portuguese cardholders can use a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and Trustly is listed for bank payments. PayPal comes with a notice: its transaction fees were raised, BBDBuy recommends a bank card instead, and any amount paid in through PayPal must be used immediately. The percentage is not published. Klarna appears in search suggestions but not in the help list, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Pay each order as you place it, by card where possible, and keep receipts in case of a dispute.

Storage and compensation clocks

Storage is free for 90 days from the "Warehoused" status, followed by a 28-day grace period for a paid extension, up to 180 days in all. Insurance pays the full goods value for items lost after the warehouse inbound scan, and claims must be filed within 7 days of delivery or 45 days of dispatch. No. bbdbuye.com is an independent guide with no link to BBDBuy or to Shenzhen Baobaoda, the company that operates it. BBDBuy's own European site is bbdbuyeu.com, which shows the same content as bbdbuy.com. Nothing is sold here and there is no account or checkout: you read the rules, run your numbers, and only then decide whether to order on BBDBuy itself or anywhere else.

Does BBDBuy work in Romanian or Portuguese?

Yes, partly. BBDBuy's interface is available in English, French, German, Italian, Romanian, Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese (Brazil), so Romanian and Brazilian Portuguese readers can browse in their own language. Help articles and support chat are another matter, and the help centre does not say which languages staff reply in. This guide stays in English and quotes the help centre's wording where it matters.

What does a buyer in Romania pay on top of the goods?

Romania charges 21 % VAT, in force since 1 August 2025, and the EU adds €3 duty plus a €2 handling fee for every item category in a parcel worth €150 or less. Add BBDBuy's fixed yuan fees and the international line, whose price is not published. The worked example further down shows a three-category parcel reaching roughly €117.

Why are line prices missing from this page?

BBDBuy does not publish them. Its shipping estimator redirects to a login page, checked on 1 November 2026, so any per-kilo figure you see elsewhere is either a screenshot or a reviewer's report. Several Trustpilot reviewers mention about €10 per kilo, but that is their experience, not a BBDBuy tariff. Open your own account, read the line price, then enter it in the calculator.

Can I order from the United States?

BBDBuy lists a US address (Boulder, Colorado) among its company details, and US buyers can use the site. What changed is that duty-free treatment for low-value parcels ended in 2025, so duty can apply from the first dollar.
